Every plan starts with a real diagnostic and adapts as your student improves. The private portal holds their adaptive practice, their weak spots, and a running log of every missed question, so we are always working on what is costing points.

The guarantee

The score goes up,or we keep teaching. Free.

How it works
1What your student does
Attends all twelve sessions, and hands in the work between them.
2What counts as the score going up
Their official SAT score comes back at least sixty points above their diagnostic baseline, or reaches the target we agree together in week two, whichever comes first.
3If that does not happen
We keep teaching at no further charge until it does. You do not get a refund or a discount, you get more teaching.

Why sixty points, and not any improvement at all? Take one student on two different Saturdays with no studying in between: their score can move about sixty points by itself. A smaller rise would not show that the teaching did anything, so we do not count it.

And if my child already scores near the top? Then there may not be sixty points left to win, which is why the target is the other half of the bar. A student starting at 1520 is not held to 1580. We set it from where your student actually is and what the schools they are aiming at ask for, and you have both numbers in writing before the first session.

The diagnostic

Every tutoring company runs a diagnostic. Almost all of them stop at the number.

A number cannot tell you that your child knew the material and simply ran out of clock, or that four of those right answers were lucky guesses, or that the same student on a different Saturday scores forty points higher for no reason at all. Two students can hand in the same 1180 and need opposite things. All of that is measurable. It just takes more work than printing a score and naming a weak topic. Your report times every question and weighs every finding against how much of it could be luck before it names anything.

Our statistical methods:

Four questions can’t give you a percentage.

Your child answers four questions on one topic and gets three wrong. Most reports print 25% and move on. But four questions is barely better than a coin toss, and the true number could be anywhere from 5% to 70%. That range has a name, a Wilson interval, and it is printed beside every area we name. A narrow one means the evidence is solid; a wide one means it is not. Look at eight topics through samples that small and one will always look alarming by chance alone, so each is first pulled back toward your child’s own average, hardest where the evidence is thinnest. It has to still look bad afterwards before we will name it. An honest report sometimes names nothing.

You get all of it from a free diagnostic, one timed sitting, and the report is yours whether or not we ever work together. If we do, those same charts stay open in your portal as the work happens.

Luca Moretti. I teach every session myself.

Most tutoring is built around grades and short-form tests, which reward memorizing over understanding. I built my practice differently. Every student starts with a diagnostic, works one-on-one with me, and gets a plan built from their own numbers, because no two students are missing the same points.

I graduated from Northwestern University in statistics, top of my class, in three years. For the past eight years I have tutored across New Jersey and online, turning students’ results around and getting them into the schools they wanted.
